As terminals of cashless payment transactions are successively converted from modem to ISDN, IRENE is the access technology for both worlds. Besides X.25, solutions for ISDN interfaces are offered with up to four S2M interface cards on one industrial computer. On the output side Ethernet and Token-Ring are supported.
IRENE also proves its flexibility in other applications; for example a control system for track formation system in the ports of Hamburg and Antwerp. Or in the yarn control system of a textile manufacturer. Already in 1998 online ordering systems for books and furniture fittings are realized with IRENE.
