Charge Billing & Payment System closes gap between CSC and CSO backend; tariffs, open and closed loop payment, billing

Adaptive Balancing Power (www.adaptive-balancing.de) is a leading storage and charging technology company that enables the rapid and nationwide expansion of the charging infrastructure with high-performance charging stations up to 250KW for e-cars - in the existing low-voltage grid and without cost-intensive grid expansion.

The company cooperates with system integrator CuroCon (www.curocon.de), which offers manufacturers of charging stations and charging parks a technology toolbox with mobile, stationary and energy automation, charging technologies, and load and energy management. Another business area is the electrification of commercial vehicles.

In the future, both companies will equip their products with solutions from DAFÜR, for almost 4 decades manufacturer of SASE systems for distributed, operational and safety-critical infrastructures under NIS2 / RCE, of transaction systems in payment traffic as well as cloud-based platforms for value-added services at the point of sales.

The Charge Billing & Payment System (CBPS) developed by DAFÜR closes the gap between the Charge Station Management System (CSMS) and the backend of the Charge Point Operator (CPO). In addition to barrier-free payment in the open loop with debit cards, credit cards and various wallets, the integrated POS system also handles payment functionalities in the closed loop as well as a variety of other value-added services.

These include fleet cards, Plug & Charge (ISO 15118), operator-owned charging cards, vouchers, and support for customer loyalty systems such as PayBack. Provision of resources for vendor and third-party applications, notification via SMS, determination of blocking fees, invoice generation and their transfer to the CPO backend are also part of the CBPS functionality.

For the payment terminal, models with PIN pad from FEIG ELECTRONIC, the market leader in vending machine terminals, are used. Debit and credit cards as well as wallets are processed by RS2 Financial Services, a globally operating payment service provider. Charging systems equipped with DAFÜR's CBPS can therefore also be used in international markets.

Integration with the partners involved is already so far advanced that a first marketable version will be available at the end of March 2023.
